159102
Waterloo
13 December 2006

159102, seen here at Waterloo a week or so after entering service, was converted from TransPennine Express' 158803 at Wabtec in Doncaster. Obvious external livery differences from the existing 159s are that the endmost doors are now orange (instead of red), the 'swoosh' position has been revised and the "South West Trains" lettering is now larger as can be seen in the bottom picture.

Later units emerged from refurbishment with all doors orange (not just the end ones as seen here). All the 159s have since been re-liveried in this way.

In 2015 this unit 159102 appeared in a revised livery with yellow doors and a modified zig-zag edged orange swoop. See here.
