73109 "Battle of Britain 50th Anniversary"

Until 2005 73109 was South West Trains' only locomotive. In February 2005 it was joined by ex GatEx 73235 , then in June 2005 by 73201 .
It was used as a 'thunderbird' rescue loco (mainly with slam door stock) and at the time this picture was taken could often been seen stabled in this bay platform at Woking station. The older logo, the one in the grey band on the bodyside, (as seen in the middle picture on this page) was later removed as in the
2004 picture.
In 2005 73109 was repainted into the SWT blue Desiro style livery.
